Nemo Places (“Nemo”) is an app and website for saving places and sharing maps of them. By using Nemo you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Who May Use Nemo

You must be at least 13 years old to use Nemo or create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Nemo only with a parent’s or guardian’s permission.

Your Places and Your Account

What you save stays yours. An account is optional; it exists to sync your places between your devices and to let you share maps and connect assistants. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in private and for what is done with your account, including by assistants you connect. You can delete your account at any time from the app or at nemo.town/account/delete; deletion removes your synced places and everything tied to the account from our servers, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Sharing

A shared map is public to anyone who has its link or permanent address. Share only what you are comfortable making public, and only places and words you have the right to share. We may take down a shared map that is reported and found to be abusive, unlawful or harmful, and may block the account behind it.

Connected Assistants

You may connect an AI assistant to your account through places.nemo.town. The assistant acts on your instructions and on your places only; what it reads is sent to the assistant’s provider under that provider’s terms. Deleted places stay in a 30-day trash from which they can be restored, by you or by the assistant. Connections are rate-limited so that no single connection can overload the service; an assistant that keeps hitting those limits is told to wait. We may pause writes from an assistant platform, or disconnect an account’s assistants, if they misbehave.

Acceptable Use

Do not use Nemo to harass or endanger anyone, to publish other people’s private information, to break the law, or to probe, overload or interfere with the service and the accounts of others. Automated use beyond the published assistant connection and its limits is not permitted.

The Service

Nemo is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, by a small team that cares about it. It may be unavailable at times, and features may change or be withdrawn. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of Nemo; keep a copy of what matters to you (the apps and the website can export your places).

Changes

If these terms change materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date at the top. Continuing to use Nemo after a change means you accept it.
