Nemo

Nemo Places for your assistant

Let Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity or a coding assistant read and tidy your saved places — your places, your account, your say.

What it does

Nemo’s assistant connection (an MCP server at places.nemo.town) gives the assistant you connect a set of tools over your own saved places. It can find what is near you or near an address, add a place from a Maps link or a name, change categories and notes, mark visits, tidy duplicates, put places on your shared maps or take them off, follow a public map, and move places to the trash — and back.

Deleting is never final here: anything an assistant deletes waits in Recently deleted for 30 days, on every device and in the assistant, and one request restores it. Every change reaches your phones and the website on their next sync.

Try asking

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ
“Which of my places are within a ten-minute walk of Brooklyn Bridge?”
๐Ÿธ
“Add Sunny’s Bar in Red Hook to my places and put it on my Brooklyn map.”
๐Ÿงน
“Find duplicates in my Amsterdam places and merge them, keeping the one with notes.”
โ˜•๏ธ
“Move everything I saved in Lisbon last week into the Coffee category.”
๐Ÿฅ
“What’s on Anna’s bakery map near where I am now?”

How to connect

Claude — open Nemo Places in Claude’s connector directory (or Settings → Connectors in claude.ai and search for Nemo Places) and choose Connect. Sign in to your Nemo account and allow what the assistant may do.

ChatGPT — in ChatGPT, open Plugins, find Nemo Places and choose Connect, then sign in the same way. (The listing is in review. Until it is live: Plugins → Add → Add custom MCP server, with the URL above.)

Gemini — in Gemini, open Settings → Personal Intelligence → Custom apps, paste https://places.nemo.town/mcp and choose Next. Leave the client fields empty and sign in to your Nemo account.

Grok — in Grok, open Connectors → New Connector → Custom, paste https://places.nemo.town/mcp and sign in to your Nemo account.

Perplexity — in Perplexity, open Settings → Connectors, add a custom connector, paste https://places.nemo.town/mcp and sign in to your Nemo account.

Claude Code or Codex — add the server with the public client nemo-places-cli; for Claude Code: claude mcp add --scope user --transport http --client-id nemo-places-cli nemo-places https://places.nemo.town/mcp, then /mcp to sign in.

You choose what to allow on the consent screen: reading your places, categories and shared maps, and separately adding, editing, trashing and restoring places. You can connect several assistants, each with its own permission.

What it cannot do

It works only with the account it signed in as — your own places, your own shared maps, and public maps anyone with the link can see. It cannot read other accounts, create or stop shared maps, or delete anything for good: the 30-day trash is emptied by Nemo, never by an assistant. Place names, notes and the maps you follow are treated as data, never as instructions to the assistant.

Limits

Each account has rate limits — sixty reads a minute, thirty changes a minute and a daily budget of changes, deletions and lookups — so a confused assistant cannot run away with your collection or overload the service. When a limit is reached the assistant is told how long to wait and how to do the same thing in fewer calls.

Privacy

What you let an assistant read is sent to that assistant’s provider and kept under their policies. Nemo keeps only a daily count of tool calls and per-account rate counters — never what was asked or answered. Details, including how to disconnect, are in the Privacy Policy; use is subject to the Terms of Service.
